It's all a bit hectic here at the moment with sites going live left , right and centre! A site that has been in development for a while but has now finally gone live is Soles4U, an ecommerce store specialising in large size womens shoes and wide fitting ladies shoes.
We've built the site entirely using OsCommerce as a basis but have done a lot of customisation as we've gone along. I've highlighted a few of the features in the graphic on the left here which is a screengrab of the "Pink Princess Kitten Heels" page:
- Newsletter signup has been integrated into the template and the look and feel of the page. This data is captured in the back end and can then be exported via CSV into any email program
- Multiple images can be uploaded for each product to show different views or detail shots. Images are dynamically resized for convinience
- Taking a steer from an established competitor's site, we've added Product Care information to each page which can be tailored to each product
- We've also dropped in a dynamic 'Customers who bought this product also bought' as this is a great way of sharing links throughout the site and cross-selling products
- And finally, we've setup Paypal as the payment provider
We're really proud of this one and it sits perfectly with our other ecommerce clients like Mobility Buddy (disabled scooters) and Aspetto (Mens Skin Care). If you know anyone looking for ladies wide fitting shoes who might be interested in Soles4U, please have a look and let me know what you think.
