I posted sometime ago about a new client of ours, Chongqing Jialing Chemical Products Ltd who are chemical suppliers of potassium permanganate and other chemicals. This is a Chinese client looking to develop their overseas client base particularly in the UK.
As is often the case with new SEO work, particularly for sites inherited from other web designers, in this case a Chinese agency, we avoid making structural changes to webpage names and navigation wherever possible so as not to confuse the search engines who are newly indexing the pages. In this instance we have decided to duplicate the product pages to make the URLs more search engine friendly as the keywords are particularly competitive.
For example, the potassium permanganate page has been renamed http://www.jialingchemical.com/products/detail/potassium-permanganate-KMnO4.html to make sure that the search engines associate the right keywords with the right pages. We've done the same for the potassium hydroxide and chloroacetic acid pages too.
The site is already being indexed far better now than it was before and we're hopeful that we can get it ranking high up in the Uk search engines.
