Matt Cutts talks .coms in UK search results

A nice little video from Matt here talking about why you see .com websites appear in search results from the UK. It seems that some people think that you should only see .uk domains appearing, or at least, priority being given to them.

Personally, it makes absolute sense that if a .com is UK focussed and the most relevant/quality result then absolutely it should appear. I personally have a mixture of .com and .co.uk websites (sport massage Nottingham for example), focussed entirely at the UK. Of course, I'm careful that each site is clearly UK focussed in its content and has been identified in Google Webmaster Tools as being a UK site so should see no reason why they shouldn't rank well for people searching in the UK.
